every person perceives an image in a different way. my goal is to convey emotion to those who view my photos, no matter the subject. i use my camera as a means to look into other people’s lives, and document things in the way i perceive them.
i have an extensive background in music, which has become the main focus of my photography. my photos strive to document the story within the music. i photograph concerts because the connection between the artist and crowd has always fascinated me. it's something i understand, and want to capture. i strive to show emotion and feeling through a single image, giving the viewer a real sense of the feeling in the scene.
i have been photographing for 7 years.
currently, i am on staff as a photographer for the Hilltop Views newspaper, and sometimes shoot for Volcom at their main location in Austin, the Volcom Garden. i also photograph for the local Austin press group Margin Walker Presents.
you can find my work featured on the Volcom website, the Hilltop Views Newspaper, and the Austin fashion magazine, CABRA. my work has also been featured in an exhibition at the Houston Center of Photography, titled "The Gray Matters".
outside of work, i can often be found at the Alamo Drafthouse watching movies, or at Jo's, photo editing with a cup of coffee.
if you feel that my style of photography suits you, please feel free to browse my resume and contact me.
i look forward to working with you.
